Lead Engineer – System Integration
Part of Leonardo (through its Helicopter division), Kopter is set to become a Centre of Excellence for new light helicopters and an incubator of new technologies; also contributing to the development of new hybrid and electrical propulsion systems.
The single-engine, turbine-powered SH09 now under development will outperform its peers with increased modularity, modern electronic systems, and a larger cabin and cargo hold. The SH09 delivers latest safety standards, more performance and comfort at low operating costs.
Kopter’s 320 talented team members are primarily based near Zurich, Switzerland – with corporate/engineering offices at Wetzikon, and the production facilities in the towns of Mollis and Näfels.
Your responsibilities:
• Working within the structures engineering department.
• Design and develop mechanical system integration and flight test equipment integration, acting as a technical project lead within own area of responsibility.
• Design to meet safety, weight, planning and cost targets.
• Technical check of engineering data.
• Support other team members on technical matters.
• Organize and lead coordination meetings, with internal and external stake holders.
Your skills, experience and qualifications:
• Master degree in aeronautical or mechanical engineering, or equivalent.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant professional experience in aerospace.
• 3D Model CAD experience (preferred Siemens NX) in volume and drafting with GD&T.
• Quality of work oriented, proactive and autonomous, with accurate and consistency.
• Written and oral communication skills in English (minimum C1).
