SBAC will be coordinating the UK Pavilion at Paris Airshow 2007. The pavilion will occupy its traditional position in Hall 2B and from interest expressed so far we are confident that industry will once again be well represented.
In 2005, the UK Pavilion occupied 2600 sq m of space in Hall 2B and was one of the largest national pavilions. The exhibition comprised of 1926 exhibitors over 128 000 sq m of space, over 230 static aircraft, 223,000 trade visitors from 153 countries and 206 official delegations from 88 countries.
Paris Air Show 2007 is set to occupy more exhibition space than 2005, with a notable increase in both official delegations and visitor numbers.
The exhibition will be represented by professionals from the entire aerospace sector including:
* Aircraft construction and assembly
* Space, spacecraft, satellite telecommunications
* Aircraft engines, aerospace powerplants and related equipment
* Weapons systems
* Pilot and navaids
* Airborne equipment and systems
* Cabin interiors
* Subcontracting, mechanical engineering and metal working
* Composite materials and surface treatment
* Maintenance, product support and spares, transport
* Services
* Airport equipment and services
SBAC will bid for TAP funding for this event, however, this cannot be guaranteed at this stage. A decision by UKTI could be made as late as December 2006. Should the event be supported by Trade and Investment (UKT&I) under the new TAP scheme a flat rate grant of £1,800 will be available to companies who meet UTKI eligibility criteria.
