€6300 per month plus allowances and benefits
The European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) is responsible for maintaining the highest standards of safety and environmental protection in civil aviation, and we invest heavily in developing our people and advancing their skills. Our Approvals and Standardisation Directorate ensures the consistent application of agreed rules and best practice.
This role will involve performing in-depth compliance audits and leading or being part of investigation teams. Naturally, we will look to you to report your findings in considerable detail, demanding strong drafting and presentation skills, and where appropriate you will propose issuance, change, suspension, limitation or revocation orders.
To be equal to the challenge, you should join us with:
• Extensive professional experience of technical or operational flight
instruction or as an instructor on aircrafts or flight simulation, gained within a National Aviation Authority
• A proven track record as a qualified auditor
• An ATPL with minimum experience of 2000 hours as Pilot in
Command on CS 25/FAR 25 aeroplanes or CS 29/FAR 29 helicopters
• Familiarity with European regulations in the domain of Flight Crew Licensing
• A high level of motivation and willingness to travel extensively
• Thorough knowledge of an official EU language plus a good command
of a second EU language
• Citizenship of an EU member state, Norway, Iceland, Liechtenstein or
Switzerland
Finally, demonstrable experience of project leadership would be a major advantage, as would exposure to aeroplane and helicopter FCL, FSTD or operations.
